Haslett isn't putting his players in a position to succeed. Read the article I posted and listen to what the Lions players had to say.
This literally makes me sick to the point of apathy about this team.

Re: Redskins Lions postgame

I'm disgusted.

It's over and that's my vote. Even with a crap division, we're going to be 0-4 playing an NFC leader Dallas squad coming off our bye. We've been getting worked inside and out by every team this year and even if we get it together later on, having 3-4 losses already is going to be tough to get past.

Again, season over. Sucks we have no 1st rounder next year, you're welcome STL. Ugh.

This is going be a long, vomitous year.

Re: Redskins Lions postgame

The defense played better yesterday than the offense did. They scored 7 points, and had some crucial stops during the game. Again, the offense scored 13 on a pretty average to below average defense at home...and turned the ball over in scoring position. Both sides have plenty of blame but yesterday the offense gets more.

Fred Smoot calls RGIII a ‘brat’ and Shanahan ‘Red Lobster’

Fred Smoot on radio today bringing the smackdown.

Quote:
“If you’re going to make a coaching change for the future, it’s time to make it now,” he said. “Robert Griffin III has been a Redskin now for one and a half years. If you’re gonna change his coach and you want a coach to grow with him like the Bradys and Belichicks and all the great pairs of quarterbacks and coaches, you have to do it now. And right now, I think the Red Lobster’s working his way outta here. I think Shanahan is working his way out of here.”
Red Lobster...

Red Lobster...
Smoot also says Shanahan should be fired and they should bring in Chucky or Cowher.

Yeah, I'm not agreeing with Smoot by any means. Just found his "red lobster" comment hilarious. Truth is, Smoot isn't a very bright guy when it comes to stuff like this. Bringing in a Gruden or Cowher would be a drastic mistake. Sure, lets bring in a guy who hasn't coached football in 7+ years. That'll be swell!!

^^^^This. I love how the mentality says go out and get these ex-great coaches, but that's the truth, they have been out of the game too long to come back and be effective.

All due respect to coach Gibbs, but I know there were some on here who wondered if the game had passed him by when he was brought out of retirement the first time.

Shanahan is probably working his way out of here. I think his chair is hot if they keep losing, and it should be. But we need to start fresh and not go get some re-tread, once upon a time coach...

Well, the thing with guys particularly like Gruden who decide to become color analysts is that they do it in part to be able to stay involved with all the inner workings of every team just in case the opportunity comes again. Gruden gets to be "in the trenches" so to speak with two teams every week, getting access to their talent, coaches, philosophies that he couldn't otherwise. That said, no I don't want him here either

I think "Rat Teeth" is better than "Red Lobster."

Would love, love, love that!!! Lovie is a 4-3 disciple though and I believe Mike is committed to the 3-4. So...how about we just go with Lovie for HC!?!?!

While I am not a Haslett sympathizer I doubt we would see an improvement in play by this D with a change.
