I'm with you. Things look dark but IMO we will rebound. My only fear regards our rebound being "too little, too late."

Re: Redskins vs Raiders Pregame thread
The schedule is really tough this year, but until the Redskins win a game, we really don't know what kind of team they are. Can they beat the Cowboys, Giants and Eagles? Sure. Will they? Who knows right now. Can they beat the Broncos? Probably not, but they may be able to beat the 49ers, so its all just up in the air. Until they figure out how to play more disciplined, error-free football, they will continue to lose.

Re: Redskins vs Raiders Pregame thread
So we have 13 games remaining and need to go 10-3. Who do we beat with a sieve of a defense and a disjointed offense:
@ DEN, @ ATL, KC, Bears....I don't see it Cross country @ OAK, @ DAL....doubtful SD, @ MIN, @ PHI, SF, NYG, DAL, @ NYG.....50/50 for these games, I'll give us homerism and say we go 4-3 in these, plus steal either @ OAK or @ DAL. That leaves us at 5-8 for the remaining games and 5-11 for the season. At least we're helping the Rams compete out West.

Re: Redskins vs Raiders Pregame thread
Yep, we'll help the Rams get a whole lot better if they draft right then they can all beat the piss out of each other in the AFC west. Long term but a bright side. but not really.

With those two major impediments in mind, I came into this season feeling that I would be satisfied with whatever I could get out of the Skins this season. I still feel that way. I anticipate that we'll add some top talent in free agency and have another good draft before next season. By that time, RGIII should be fully recovered. Then I'll expect much more. In no way has anything that has happened so far this season shaken my faith in the direction the franchise is heading or in the primary people who are leading the way, namely Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen. On the other hand, I would have no problem if the coordinators were to leave and be replaced. I was never a fan of Haslett. IMO, he hasn't done a good enough job to be retained. As for Kyle, if there is in fact fundamental disagreement between Kyle and Mike about how the offense should be run, then Kyle should do the right thing and find another job after this season.
