I'm not crazy about replacing our "message hasn't been effective in a decade" coach with another coach who is going to have to struggle through the same thing.
A lot of the best coaching talent is in the college ranks right now, but I wouldn't mind bringing a coach back for a second tour as head coach as long as it's the right fit. No more than 4 seasons as a HC and recent employment (and success) with an NFL team are some simple qualifications to look for. Shopping in the failure bin could be a wise move, as long as it's a relatively short track record of losing, and not a career-long epidemic.
