I actually heard Orakpo's name called a few times yesterday which was a first in a long time.

Best tackling day we've had.

Also our STs weren't as bad as they have been. The two blocks were Kai's "fault" (one was just a product of a long kick needing to start low though). But our coverage was as good as it has been. Also I noticed a little Rambo action out there on Teams which is good for him.

Rak is just not very good but our entire D has had zero pressure as of late. That has to change

We won the game yesterday because our front guys constantly collapsed the pocket.

But they didn't get any sacks, which means they're obviously not doing their job.

Nevermind the fact that Rivers and P. Manning are two of the least sacked quarterbacks in the league. In fact, the only full season starter that has been sacked less than those two is Matt Stafford (who they've also played).

Good points, but it is odd how quiet they've been sack wise lately. Not just yesterday but it's been a few games. Rak has gone 4 games now without one.

I agree that Kerrigan and Orakpo have been unusually quiet as of late, which is odd considering the defense as a whole has played significantly better. I'm not sure what to make of it.

I thought the same thing all game long. Rivers was safe as can be in his pocket. Chargers did a much better job on their DL batting passes but I think we had 1-2. At least Rob Jackson got 1 sack.

Its a team win, Ill take it.

We won because we scored 30 points and put up 500 yards of offense and kept drives alive. The defense didn't limit San Diego to anything more than SD's statistical averages (24 PPG, 410 YPG). Had it not been for our offense maintaining drives, our defense would have had another nightmarish outing.

I would be literally stunned if we don't beat Min Thursday.

Anytime you have a short week and have to go on the road that's going to be difficult. Throw in that we're so inconsistent....this is going to be a tough game. I give us a 50/50 shot. Minn could have very easily beaten Dallas yesterday.

Re: Redskins Vs Chargers Postgame

Kerrigan and Orakpo seem to only get pressure when Haslett creates a unique scheme to get them on the same side of the ball or something that looks confusing to the offense.

Whenever they have to beat a tackle one on one, they seem to always get taken out of the game. Neither of them are getting double teamed but the entire front seven has been non existent in terms of pass rush.

Re: Redskins Vs Chargers Postgame

I'm more confident heading into Minnesota, but considering they almost beat Dallas doesn't make me too cozy. They have the potential to beat us but they're so damn inconsistent and talentless (outside of AP and Jared Allen) it's hard not to think we won't destroy them.

Re: Redskins Vs Chargers Postgame

If we beat Minny and the Pokes lose in New Orleans, we will be 1/2 game out of a first place tie, with a game in hand against Dallas in our house.
