When do we ever destroy anyone? This game will be close. Minn was in the playoffs last year. They're plenty capable of beating us. We need to show up and be ready to play on a short week. Anyone remember a guy named Joe Webb?

Yeah but they're 1-7 now.

The Skins were also in the playoffs but I thought you said recently you were tired of talking about last year?

It's not going to be an easy game with the short week but we have the chance to carry over the momentum from SD and keep things rolling.

My point was...this is going to be a tough close game.

I watched some of the Cowboys vs Vikings game and the Cowboys gave up 140, 2 TD to Peterson. The #1 thing you absolutely have to do is contain AP. I feel confident we can do enough to do that. Ponder is not Rivers

Perhaps in the running game we will be able to limit his damage. However, this team needs to figure out how to defend the screen pass. That play has killed us the last couple weeks.

Re: Redskins Vs Chargers Postgame

Young gets the game ball from me.

That win, the WAY we won probably just turned the season around.

I can't believe Dallas pulled out that win and Philly did what they did to Oakland, but I think we're going to end up winning this division.

Side note...so pissed at local CBS.

After the first play of the overtime GW drive, they said "due to contratual obligations we must switch to the Cleveland-Baltimore game" and changed it to a blue screen that just said "Browns vs. Ravens" in the middle for about 3 full minutes and I missed the last drive and the win! I watched the whole thing, recorded it too.

Someone should be fired!

I understand the contract issue, but why switch to a screen-saver for almost 5 minutes while a game is being won?

I told my wife about the infamous '68 MNF Raiders game where they switched to Heidi.

Argh.

Scrambled and tried to pull up ESPN 980 to hear the end and my wife saw the score on the bottom of NFLN that said we had 30 points. I hate you, CBS.

I was at The Greene Turtle sports bar and every booth has their own TV (along with TV's all over the bar) so when the game switched over to Browns v. Ravens, we scrambled trying to find a station that had the Skins game. We found one and I got to watch the last drive.

I was watching in Baltimore, does anyone in the DC or VA area know if the game switched over there, or was it just some freak luck that there was a station that didn't switch over.

Re: Redskins Vs Chargers Postgame

We are halfway through the season. Rak has 3 total sacks: 2 against OAK, 1 against GB.

A pace for 6 sacks for the season is not good enough.

BTW Kerrigan is on a pace for 13 sacks for the season.

DC CBS kept the Skins game on till the end. That's just the rules of the TV contracts. Especially with Baltimore's game coming on next.

Rak always seems to go on streaks. He's due for a 3 sack game soon.

Re: Redskins Vs Chargers Postgame

Yeah, in PA, I can only get the Harrisburg stations, not Baltimore and definitely not DC.

I've called Dish Network and asked if I could pay to get some DC stations for this Ravens-get-priority stupidity but nope, they couldn't get game out-of-town local stations despite giving me a Chicago and a New York station. (WGN, WPIX)

Re: Redskins Vs Chargers Postgame

I think people are just expecting something out of Rak that he can't give, he's just not very good at rushing the QB, He'll tease u one game out of 5 but then vanish as he has done once again.
