Re: Skins Viks Postgame
What a rough night.
At least we can stop listening to the media about how we are going on a run. So tired of watching this defense lay an egg

Re: Skins Viks Postgame
Midseason firings do nothing for the team. We are stuck with the same system and players till the end of the year.
I would like to see young players get on the field. Special teams is a joke, we need real return guys. Get Thompson experience, we are getting nothing out of the return game. defensively, we need speed at middle linebacker. Fletcher is non existent. We need to put in the younger guys to see what we have. any one on the team should be able to match fletchers 5 tackle a game average. |

If we had even an average d we would be 5-4 right now. The offense has done a decent job all.yr. 26 PPG but we give up 31....

Re: Skins Viks Postgame
Ok so in a battle of a couple of the worst defenses in the league, the least worst wins.
![]() I honestly can't figure this team out. They are the epitome of inconsistency. Poor first halves and pretty good second halves early on. Now it is pretty good first halves and poor second halves of late. I feel like I'm being strung along "so you say there's a chance". No, I no longer say there's a chance. I think the NYG have a better chance than we do, but this is likely the Cowboy's division this year. Uggghhh.... But, ALF is a beast. Let's get an O-line that can pass protect and some defense... |

Re: Skins Viks Postgame
I know Orakpo made some plays tonight, but I am still disappointed in his output since we've drafted him. And he was the first player that I was clamoring for that we actually drafted. I see what other teams do to our QB every week, and for all the investments we've put into our pass rush . . . it stinks.
Orakpo better not get big money. He is good, maybe very good, but he is not elite. |

Re: Skins Viks Postgame
We lost be cause our D didn't show and we stopped running the ball......but.....
Was the officiating as bad as I thought? I constantly felt like we were getting screwed. |

Yeah, started with that "helmet to helmet" hit on Ponder early in the game. What a phantom call...looked like a legal hit on the QB as he let the ball go. But the refs didn't decide this game... |

Re: Skins Viks Postgame
If this was a baseball team, our closer would have an ERA of 7.56. You can't trust this team to win, no matter how much they are winning by. And I blame that on the coaching. We are lacking in talent, but so was the other team, and we were up 27-14 in the 2nd half. I'm so tired of always firing coaches though, its such a carousel all the time, but damn if games like this don't make you want to pull the plug. We need our full salary cap and an excellent draft. I just decided I'll go for giving Mike his full 5 years, if others don't agree, I don't blame you.

Did someone in the draft room not hear it right when someone said "anyone but Liberius" and thought they said "the only one we want is Liberius"?? |

@kevins980
Can't believe anyone w/half a brain would put this loss on Kyle. The D gave up 34 pts on 50 plays! Vikes scored on 6 of 8 drives! Please.

I know people hate Kyle, but it's crazy how people are pointing fingers at the offense for this. We made Ponder look like a legit QB for crying out loud. Coming into that game the Vikings were near the bottom of the league in total offense and middle of the pack in points per game. 34 points matched their highest ouput in a game this season. The offense didn't blow a 27-14 3rd quarter lead. |
