From the CDC/FBI figures I've been able to separate out it's 0.2% kids under 10 years old, attributable to accidents exacerbated by piss-poor gun safety (i.e. not securing and restricting access to the weapon), the vast majority of the remainder are primarily in the 14-19 age group and are gang related. This totally skews the data and misrepresents the societal cause. |
