Still doesn't justify the idiotic Morgan contract, and Peter Boy needs to keep playing at his current level to justify his. That's all.
Would it kill you to just say Garcon has been a good player for us and stop with the dumb charade of calling him Peter Boy?

I've said he was a good player for us since late last season (with some occasional drops and stupid plays like kicking the fucking football into the stands for penalties etc etc). And his name in American is Peter Boy. It's not derogatory. Savvy?

Attaching boy to anyone's name is derogatory.

Matty, you're missing it here. Pierre garçon (French) literally translates into Peter Boy. It's his name lol.

Who has one reception off from the league lead? People blowing off that stat of him at the least making the play, aka getting open and catching the ball, are way off. Would you like him more if he made less money and still having a chance to lead the league in receptions? Real dumb stuff putting this guy down.

Idiots calling this guy part of the problem

He also is fourth in the league in YAC with almost 500 yds he has been very valuable to the offense.

This times 10. and imagine how good his season would be if the rest of the offense was clicking like that run last season.

Garcon is worth every penny. he's an example of a good move shanny made. the kind of comment like " well he better keep it up" is the kind of stupid petty comment I only hear in a toxic office politics environment. not the sort of comment I hear among good people.

I love Garcon. Ill give him a pass for the Giants game. His only bad game in his tenure in DC. Dude is great. Worth every penny.
Edit: he is a beast after the catch.

I swear, sometimes I feel some people here are rooting for the team to fail so they can say they were right.
Um.....we are 3-9 and we have what might be thee worst defense in Redskins history? How are we not worse unless you judge the success of our team on something based other than wins and losses?
Do you really think I root against the Redskins? Lol.
This team is still a mess and a joke. We would be in the running in a very strong way for the number one overall pick if we had one. Maybe people just cannot admit that Cerrato leaving did not make everything roses here. Dude sucked, but nothing has changed. Sad but true.

A lot has changed, but understandably the fans just want to know wins and losses.

Very tough to see any quantifiable improvement. Still very little depth, pretty terrible drafting record overall. I would even say Mikes done a worse job managing the roster/team assets than he previous couple predecessors. So you're stuck with esoteric things like culture as improvements, but that's hard to buy into because team discipline sucks and preparedness sucks.

I have no doubt Mike and Kyle talk a good game with the insiders. But what specifically is improved with respect to the team?? Would Vinny not have been able to pull off the RG trade for example? And as part of the comparison we have to acknowledge the defense would be better with basically any other coaching/mgmt in place here...

This conversation, as most with you, will go in circles. So let's just move on

Ok. You're right.

The thing is we agree the Shanahans should play important roles in the franchise. Mike would make a great RB coach, maybe OC if he learns to work with others. And Kyle would be a super cute ball boy.

Lol

You're right in terms of record, but right now we have better components within the roster (RG3, T. Williams, Morris, Orakpo, Kerrigan, Amerson) to help us overcome this crappy season than anything we had under Zorn.

It sucks that we don't have a first rounder, but a much better cap space should help us get a decent supporting cast for next season. And I think this could happen whether we have the Shanahans back or not.

When Zorn and Vinny left, we were dead in the water and looking at a long rebuilding process. We may be dead in the water, but I think we could be back on our feet as early as next year.

I think we knew that some things were going to have to change organizationally after Vinny was replaced, but really, a lot of the front office structure remained sans Vinny. The last major FO shakeup that I can remember came in 2008 when the Redskins fired more than 20 employees after the economy crashed.

To me, the issue is absolutely the same now as it was in 2009: start making good decisions, even on a smaller scale, and it won't be so tough to maintain your gains. Just start getting things right on an everyday basis. The long rebuilding process you speak of would have been quite short if Shanahan rolled into town and started addressing the issues that team had from Day 1.
