Yeah but Coughlin was still a well established veteran coach even before the SB wins which only solidified his status.
My question is does Shanahan walk away from $7.5M and the challenge of getting this team on track? I have a feeling Snyder will be reluctant to fire him, so ultimately it will come down to what Shanahan wants to do. Come back and be a "lame duck" and earn an extension or walk away?
