Yesterday was the last straw for me. And now today with this talk of sitting RG to protect him? What a fraud Shanny is.

It's taken me a long time to come around too, but more and more with this guy, I just feel lied to.

Agreed, this is definitely not the Shanahan I'd heard about from people that know him that I trust

Do you think he talked to Dan about sitting him like he said in the PC today? You think Dan is ok with this?

With what little I know, I can see getting reps to be primary. But the "24 sacks in 5 games, with a team with 2 sacks in the last 5 games getting 6" line holds no weight? We're in a different situation now that the season's lost, I'd like to shut down vets playing with serious injuries. I'd play him, but wouldn't hesitate to take him out if we couldn't protect him. RG3's still not fully recovered, he's still got the knee brace on, right?

Concern about him getting hurt might have carried some weight if he sat him down prior to playing on a sloppy/snowy field yesterday.

It's a power play. A dumb game of tug of war and RG is stuck in the middle. Just embarrassing.

I guess this is going over my head, why is the option of shutting RG3 down this season a power play between Shanny and Snyder? I can see where Snyder want the franchise QB to play. And if you say so, the season being over doesn't mean RG3 can't still get some much needed reps in. It just doesn't seem to me like playing or sitting RG3 does much for Shanny's image either way, unless he starts calling RG3's number on 12 fullback dives in a row (or a dozen seven-step-drops in a row with our OL) What obvious things am I missing here?

To think that there's not something else at play here, I guess you're assuming Shanahan is genuine when he says he has the team or Griffin's best interests in mind.

Given the recent "leaked" stories from a guy clearly in CYA mode, personally I don't trust a single word he says anymore.

Exactly, and now they're playing in a dome next week.

Plus why not make some changes along the OL once and for all, and see if that works
