Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday

If you guys are expecting Cousins to walk on the field and run a spread offense with the read option and be better then RG3 then your nuts. Which I presume you guys already know and are saying Cousins will be worse. I agree. But, if Cousins is not asked to run a spread offense/read option and is only asked to run Mike Shanahan's offensive scheme MS ran in Denver then Cousins I think could pull it off. Elway pulled it off. and Elway was no RG3. Who knows maybe there was some big meeting with Snyder, Allen and Shanahan and they all agreed to get away from the read option and Kyle Shanahan's scheme and have Mike Shanahan use his scheme he used in Denver for his last year. If he can get RG3 up to speed reading defenses and making the right decisions then great if he can't then hopefully Cousins sitting two years made good use of the time to study the opposing defenses. |

If Cousins plays well, and whoever coaches the Skins next year feels like he gives them the best chance to win, they will hopefully roll with Cousins and not care what RG3 thinks, what Snyder thinks, or what the fan base thinks. A coach will be successful in Washington when he does what he thinks is best, and doesn't let outside influences sway his decision. Hopefully the next coach will not be Shanahan and do what he wants to do and not try to blame everyone else. |
