Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
All successful franchises have a thing in common as we once did:
A great owner, GM and coach.

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
It's a principle thing IMO and again core to the idea of mentoring a bunch of young guys. Personally I'm super liberal, believe pot should be legal, but drunk driving destroys innocent lives every day. And as a wealthy coach there's no excuse, have a limo drive you around for fuck sakes. Just no excuse for it IMO.
Gruden looks like a heavy drinker too. Puffy face gives it away. And then you add the pressure he'll face in DC. I liked hearing Caldwell watched all RG's games prior to the interview. He sounds like a solid guy all around.

Touche. Still find it ridiculous you think that makes him unqualified

But I don't think Gruden is a good candidate regardless. Several reasons. Still nothing on offense that's impressive (aside from an improvement over the Shanahans). No HC experience in the NFL, especially in a major market. It looks like a "fixed" hire with the Jay to Jon to Bruce connection. Whisenhunt and Caldwell are better on the offensive side. Williams and Zimmer on the defensive side.

Just to be clear, just because people may like the prospect of a HC jay gruden, that doesn't mean they support or condone drinking and driving. My guess is, he likely learned from his mistake and corrected his actions.

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
Maybe the Pope knows a thing or two about coaching football. Has there been any sightings of Redskins 1 in Rome?
I mean you would probably have to add in a clause about the wine and all... |

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
I apologize if SF felt like that was an attack, but drinking in driving is not a joke. Regarding gruden, he and wisenhut are my personal favorites at this point. I just feel like his DUI should be considered when evaluating his candidacy.

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
How could anyone consider "fuck you" and "you piece of shit" to be a verbal attack?
