I'm sure Helu would've started in 2012 if it hadn't been for two things: his injury, and Morris taking advantage of his opportunity like he did. Helu is a solid 3rd-down back and excellent depth and, like I said earlier, will take on a bigger, more valuable role this year.

Well I am guessing you want to leave Alfred and Terrell out of the conversation because of Shanny's influence, but I tend to think if Gore, Morris, Foster, Charles, etc. can be productive 3rd rd or later draft picks we could find someone to fill Helu's shoes.

I just don't see him as one of those core untouchables like Morris, Griffin, TW, Garcon would be on offense.

Curious about who deserves credit for building the teams that have been good in recent years (like Newsome/Ravens and Belichick/Patriots. Who's responsible for the Niners and Seahawks? Does Elway pick personnel for the Broncos?

Carroll is in control of everything in Seattle, although Schneider has a huge influence, but in the end its Carroll's decision. Baalke has been with San Fran for a while and I believe controls a lot of player decisions.
