Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Any suggestions on which team would give us the best trade?

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Browns have the most to give away and would be the stupidest team and probably give us the most.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
My guess would be the browns since they have 10 draft picks (7 of them being in the first 4 rounds). I'm sure it also doesn't hurt that Kyle Shanahan is their OC and he likes Kirk.
If not the browns then i can see it being a team that might skip out on drafting a qb early in the draft like the Jaguars or the Raiders. Maybe even the Vikings. |

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
How about Arizona, TB or the Rams?

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Trading for Cousins makes sense for a lot of teams, if they think he can develop into a good QB. You have all the QB needy teams like Houston, Jacksonville, Minnesota, and maybe Cleveland and Tampa Bay that could play him immediately. Then you have the teams like Arizona and Oakland with veteran QBs that could sit him for a few years before having him start.
I don't think he'll ever be more than a great backup/below-average starter, and if someone offers a 3rd or a 4th plus a later pick, we need to take it. Also, if we're really fielding offers and are actually interested in trading him, we need to do it this offseason, preferably before the draft. We won't get peanuts for him next year. |

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
So since I like playing devils advocate...let's say Griffin struggles with the new offense, struggles and gets off to a slow start, or doesn't play well. Then what? What's the plan? Colt McCoy? Does that 3rd rounder for Cousins on the bench backing up Polumbus help? Or is the season lost and we get into the Jameis Winston sweepstakes?

I don't see Griffin struggling with the offense Gruden brings in. If he gets off to a slow start, it will be for other reasons other than picking up a new offense. If we see Colt McCoy during the regular season, it will be one of two reasons. Either Griffin is injured or the 'skins are whoppin' so much butt that RG3 gets to take the rest of the day off.

I think a lot of folks on here over rate Kirk.

Let's say Kirk stays and Colt beats him out of the 2nd string job; Does anyone think that would be Sportscenter Breaking News worthy? I will say it now and I will eat crow if it changes. I predict Jason Campbell will have had a better career then Kirk Cousins by the time it is all said and done.
