Quarterback by comittee

I was sitting in my closet, dorm room, and I had a epiphany, what if Gibbsy is trying someing new? Much like the runningback by comittee that used to exist in Philly, we might be engaging in a quarterback by comittee situation in DC. Brunnell may start, but that does not mean that P. Ram might not come into the game, and throw the long ball where Brunnell cannot.

Yes, I do realize that this is a stupid idea, but entertain me

Doesn't work in the NFL. I've seen other coaches try this (in the NFL) with little or no success.

Didn't work for the Buckeyes last week against Texas either.

Re: Quarterback by comittee

Doubt it. My guess is only an injury or a long run of bad play gets Ramsey back in there.

Re: Quarterback by comittee

Why would he do that when Brunell has shown the ability to throw the deep pass? In fact, Ramsey has underthrown more balls this year than anytime as a QB. It's almost like a role reversal.

Re: Quarterback by comittee

There was a guy nick-named Slash that did it for Pittsburg...

I think Ramsey compares pretty well.

Not Gibbs he would never do it. He wants a commodity that is consistent this system would debase Gibster's entire philosophy.

Re: Quarterback by comittee

Remember when Wayne Fonts coached the Lions and he switched between the 3 QBs every week? It was like he spun a wheel to decide who was the starter. The guys on ESPN would make fun of it almost every week, I even started too feel bad for Detroit fans. My point is swicthing back and forth between QBs is NEVER a good idea.
