If Riley isn't resigned, that's going to set our defense a long ways back. Replacing both ILBs in one offseason shouldn't even be an option for our FO. How? It was pretty damn bad with him on the field. Riley is a drafted home grown guy but he just isn't a playmaker or a difference maker. Plus he gets exposed in coverage. We have too many Perry Riley type guys on this team. We need competition at almost every single position on defense. That would be my attitude if I were Gruden/Haslett.
