id like to carry 11% of this cap over to next year when we may actually be in a position to sign a big name talent.

I'd only trade a late pick for Sproles, if that. It looked to me like he lost a step in 2013.

I hate to say that because he's been one of my favorite NFL players.

I'm not even counting on Tanard. It's suspicious how Browner gets off his "indefinite" suspension so quickly but Jackson gets completely ignored for reinstatement.

I guess Tanard should have threatened to sue the league like Browner did.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread

paying 5mill+ for a safety is kind of a waste when he might be a product of carolina's front seven.

we may just draft there, no need to panic yet. and we're actively looking for a DT, DE, and CB right now, it'd be hard to sign them and give a safety a jumbo deal. I imagine a FS/ILB will be two of our top three picks. and i'd bet the other one will be on a DE or OG.

Cooley just said on the 5/25 offer for Mitchell "I think that (the #Redskins) were relatively close." Feels Mitchell wanted #Steelers more

Derelle Revis anyone? Just released by
Bucs. I believe we'd have the money to sign him...

Yeah, people are WAY too invested in caring about Mitchell, like he was destined for here. Nevermind the mixed reviews of him last season, which was his best, Twitter said he was a priority so we HAVE TO HAVE HIM!

Anyways, as long as the position is addressed with someone other than/better than Merriweather or Doughty then I'm fine trusting the process.

As for T. Jackson, why are people excited about him? Hasn't seen an NFL regular season snap since 2011. Probably a wine cooler away from a full lifetime ban. Are we THAT desperate for someone else to play safety?

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

I just find it hard to believe Ryan Clark was the fall back. Thats the problem, apperently we thought he was destined to be here. Really Bruce?

It was probably more like Mitchell and Byrd (just not at his price), and now on to plan C. Stop gap vets, and wait and see who might get released. Then look to the draft.

You make a good point about Mitchell.

But otherwise, when did we last see average (not good, just average) FS play? It's been years.

When did we last see average SS play? Outside of a few cameo appearances by Meriweather, it's been years.
