(2) Talib not signed with us or NE which, as I understand it, was what it was coming down to for him.

TJ Ward signed with the Broncos for an average of 5.5 million a year. Super cheap. Perks of being a superbowl caliber team each year I guess.

That sucks.

There's still some good FA options out there, though. Chris Clemons and Jairus Byrd to name two; and Kendrick Lewis might be an upgrade at the right price. There's also going to be some good safeties available in the 2nd and maybe 3rd round of the draft.

Every year since 2007 (RIP) I keep thinking to myself, okay this will be the year Reed Doughty rides the bench/plays special teams, and yet every year he's always starting, whether at FS or SS. I like the guy off the field, he's a good guy, hard worker, etc, as a backup you know what you're getting, but in reality there's no way he should be starting. If he is penciled in as the starter for lack of a better option I will starting reaching drave-Josh Wilson levels of insanity.

i agree he is ok as a back-up and ST player, i doubt if he comes back if he is the starter just wanted to stir the pot in here. They will probably add some other guys to the secondary this FA period, but this D for the most part with be built with the same pieces as last year. i just hope that it really was the scheme otherwise this board will explode over Haz again this upcoming season.
