Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
There are still some good veteran CB's available, Cromartie, Revis. Rogers, Graham, Terrell Brown, etc.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
I'm confused by two updates today....
1) Santana resigning (is he the slot or maybe returner?) 2) Don't we have enough DE's? An aging DE wasn't one of my top needs. Both moves seem like "cap eaters" to me early in the process. I'd rather land a safety upgrade that we need in the worst way. Clemmons may be my last hope. That said, I do like the Roberts move. Here's hoping for a Safety & oline on day 2. Hail! Ooops...didn't see that we signed a Guard earlier...guess that counts as O-line! Last edited by Bangee7; 03-11-2014 at 10:39 PM. Reason: correction |

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
Wrong site, ladies. This is getting concerning now though. We've missed out on Ward, Byrd, Mitchell, Jenkins, Whitner, Bethea...and pretty much all of the top safeties. We should probably look at the recently-released Thomas DeCoud as our best option. I think we'll still do well at CB. I didn't think we'd pay Talib what he wanted when we can get a solid CB for less money in Corey Graham, Captain Munnerlyn or Tarell Brown to team up with D-Hall. Right Tackle is another position we should get covered too, either with a good FA or a 2nd-3rd round pick in this solid O-lineman draft. All of the expensive left-tackle money guys are getting signed now, but we do not need to stand that much for a RT. Love the Roberts and Hayward signings so far and that guard we picked up sounds promising as a starter or at least solid backup.

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
I'm sure our staff has the players they are targeting and for the price we are comfortable with we will get our players. I do believe this staff is not going to over spend for players unless he can be a difference maker on defense or offense. I'm excited that we have salary cap money again. I will be checking through out the night for late signings . We don't need any more Albert Hanyesworthless players . HTTR

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
How much cap space do we have left at this point? I read that we had $18MM at he start of the day and it looks like we spent $15MM. So, do we have $3MM left at this point?
It looks like we'll need to make some cuts to do any more deals but I really don't know.

I am guessing we have about 10million, and could have another 2-3 more if we let Chester go. Obviously, I could be wayyyy nff. Love to here from Schneed or CC edit: Thanks Schneed I didn't see yours before I posted this one. Last edited by CRedskinsRule; 03-11-2014 at 09:36 PM. |

Re: Redskins Free Agents Signings Thread
In the cap thread Schneed mentioned cutting Monty, Chester, or Kory L.
Licht is by far our smallest lineman. Without him, everyone else is 300+ pounds. If the goal is to get bigger, it would seem that Kory L. is a dead man walking.
