![]() At this point I think it's fair to say that the Redskins and Desean want to work it out, but the Skins aren't going to just write a blank check future ending contract. I think that's a good thing, and if he signs, or if he doesn't sign, the Skins FO looks like they did things differently then in the past. As I look into my crystal ball, I could see heavy use of not likely to be earned bonus money. The advantage there is it's a delayed cap hit, AND, if Djax is playing lights out, he gets the paydays he wants. But, and this may be why it takes so long, everyone has to be on the same page of what the end goal is. I think the Skins are looking at it from your point of view, man we don't want to be reliving this contract situation every year, and so they are trying to structure it to give some cushion against that. But they also want him here. Meantime, we sit and wait and refresh, hoping that our team does the right thing the right way. |
