Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson

The Eagles' fans are desperate. I think they all know deep down that cutting him was probably a bad idea, that this might be a bad sign about Kelly, and that us signing him might really hurt them. SO they are lashing out with hope that none of that is true. My feeling on it is that I don't expect this to be the greatest signing ever and I KNOW it hurt them. We've won already on the deal. Especially since they're all so butt-hurt about it.

Nothing at all like the McNabb deal.

It's nothing at all like McNabb, one catches the ball and the other throws it... okay you win...

Seriously it's like the guy in your FF league who always snapps up the last two years top performers and is shocked when he doesn't make the playoffs "But I had all the best players" That's Dan snyder's redskins and this off season is no different.

The only question is will they get lucky and make me eat my words or will I be posting a hollow and not at all enjoyable "I told you so" at the end of the season to a bunch of people I totally commiserate with and wish weren't suffering through this bizarro-double-reverse-fecked-up-sports-version-of-groundhogs-day along with me.

Maybe my fellow skins fans know this is doomed just like I do and they just want to cling to that false hope at the beginning of the "off season championship" despite knowing where it most likely will end up. Maybe that's all they have left. I envy anyone who can go into this season expecting more than a mediocre, media circus and player personnel soap opera filled embarrassment.

It all started with "we're going to make RGIII a pocket passer" and got more preposterous from there.
Sooo we will mark you as undecided?

Basically, you have no idea what you're talking about. But you want to rant, so go ahead

I would have expected the moderator of a Redskins forum to be bigger than ad hominem attacks just because someone has a different opinion than they do.

Is this is one of those forums where only certain types of opinions are allowed?

No negativity?

Only sunshine?

Negativity is fine. Ignorance is not.

If you had said you worry about the move because we could have used that money at a position of greater need, DeSean Jackson has been known to slack off sometimes when things don't go his way, Desean Jackson struggles over the middle in traffic especially if you are physical with him early, it's concerning that the Eagles would just let him go when he's a the peak of his career...any of those things, then I could see your point.

But instead you said this is just like the McNabb deal, which it is not. No matter how much you want to say it is, it's not. So no, your opinion doesn't deserve my approval

The Jackson signing was an opportunity, we had our cap in order and we made a play on a player that kills us. It was unexpected as far as no one knew Chip was gonna release Jackson. In the past we wait on free agents knowing we are gonna break the bank. We have to sell our soul for a player. Jackson situation is the opposite.

The Redskins took a player away from a Division rival. Doesn't that count for anything or is that just Fantasy Football stupidity?

No one has argued that Snyder and Allen were the big drivers of the McNabb trade, but we're talking about DeSean. By the way, did you know Dan Snyder is taller than Jack Kent Cooke? (well taller than he was when he was alive)

All I can say here is "Da Fuq?"

I hope DeSean wins the Super Bowl MVP and he and Snyder give a big middle finger at the 50 yard line to all the Redskins fans out there

This breakdown made me lol. Literally.

Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson

The DeSean signing was a no-brainer just considering his on field talent and production. And all of the nfl analysts were outwardly saying this.

Only negatives that they were expressing were - there must be something that the Eagles know that no one else does off the field.
And after the Redskins signed him - there was negativity just because they don't have confidence in the Redskins decisions and of recent past.

No about the eagles knowing something. Chip kelly has a huge stupid ego and that is it.
