Not a bad contract. Bruce doing another marvelous job.

That's not a bad deal. That is right where his value would be to the team.

Interesting stat by Shefter.

"No player in NFL history has switched teams within same division after he had at least 80 catches, 1,200+ receiving yds in previous season."

It definitely makes one wonder what the real reason is for Philly letting him go.

So we pluck two top divisional FA. Not a bad off-season.

We are now sitting very nicely at the WR position.
This is going to make our draft so much easier and better.
Draft OL and safety please!

Really like those numbers. Probably backended a little to give some flex this year but we aren't over a barrel. Legit deal both ways.

Golden Tate got the Paul Kruger deal this year, one that Detriot will regret for years, he's a terrible player, a #2, borderline #3.

Riley Cooper is a clear #2 and got 25 mil, possession guy. A guy who is not a game changer, but can make some unbelievable 8 yard receptions.

Eric Decker flat robbed the bank. He ends up in a spot where he has to be the man and gets no help. The Jets front office is a joke, this is the worst of all the contracts. He's a borderline #2, more like a #3.

Folks we get a game changer for 3 years at 24 million. 24 million. A #1 WR, the biggest deep threat receiver in the game today. Wow
How does being a #2/#3 = a terrible player? Is Andre Roberts a terrible player?

I beleive he was saying they are terrible becasue their talent level is 2/3 but their salary is for a 1.

Skins rolled the dice. He fills two needs. Hopefully the coaches can manage Jackson's issues when he catches 3 balls. Good job Bruce Allen. Skins are having a solid off season.

Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson

Starting to realize that smaller receivers are just as much a staple of Redskins culture as "The Hogs." Heck at this rate Pierre Garcon at 6'0 might be considered a giant by Redskin standards. The great Art Monk of course not withstanding.

It's also kind of funny that this is the second time we've gotten a mulligan on a smallish receiver we passed over on on draft day in favor of a 'taller' possession type. Go back to 2001 when the Redskins drafted Rod Gardner 15th overall, only to see Santana Moss go one pick later to the Jets at 16 overall.

Then of course the fabled 2008 draft where we passed over Desean twice in favor of drafting Devin Thomas at 34 and Fred Davis at 48. Desean then went one pick later to the Eagles at 49th overall.

If this isn't fate I don't know what is.
2001:

2008

One more thing I noticed. Jets and Eagles both have green as their primary colors.
