I think you and I may be two of the few people who think that LeRibeus can play. Still, after his weight and conditioning issues of last season, I don't trust his work ethic. I read that he is in better shape now but he probably has a steep hill to climb to gain the trust of the coaching staff.

Kory can play; he just may not be big enough to be more than the stop-gap at center.

I really can't envision two rookies on the right side to start the season.

Mike McGlynn could win a job at RG or center.

Re: Reaction to Draft: exceeds, meets, or meh

At first I hated our draft, then I got on the computer and studied our draft choices and did some home work on them, I still hate all the picks except for Moses and Seastrunk. I keep hearing the Bashard guy is good, but he ran 4.6 at the combine and his pro day was no better. I even hate the undrafted players. Maybe this is a good sign(although I doubt it). I think we drafted well under Shannahan. Now it looks like we are doing dumb shit again.

if he ran a 4.4 he wouldn't have been there in the 4th round. he'll never be better than a #3 CB or a safety, but if he's a cheap depth guy/ST guy, that's fine. you need those.

for quake, i bet LeRib is more likely to get cut than start. he's shown a whole lot of nothing. and long has a better shot at playing center than he does.

Re: Reaction to Draft: exceeds, meets, or meh

At first I wasn't too thrilled about this draft, however after taking some time to really think about it I like what we have done here.
We beefed up the O-Line, added a pass rusher, got a speed running back, A sure hand catcher, and secondary depth. Also remember none of these guys have been in a NFL weight room or used a NFL nutrition plan.

It's on our coaching staff to develop these guys, the talent and work ethic is there.

Trent Murphy- What I like about this pick is that he has what Rack doesn't... He knows how to use his hands and has multiple move to get to passer. He is was the hardest working player on the Stanford defense. It was also noted that he brings the "Nasty" attitude that you want to hear about.

Morgan Mosses- Many of us wanted him in the second round, getting him in the third is a value pick. Watching him in the Senior Bowl, he can be legit. Coaching him up to play like that all the time will be key. We may finally have our bookends tackles.

Spencer Long- Big, tough, physical, ornery blocker with starter-quality is what is written about him. I think we can use that on this line. Brings the "Nasty", I see spencer as a smarter, younger Incognito without all the PR crap. Future Starter

Bashaud Breeland- He could be the steal of the draft. Considered by many to be a late second round pick, when he bulks up in a NFL weight room, he could become the starter opposite Amerson. He reminds me of Antoine Winfield. A corner who likes to hit.

Ryan Grant- Although he had a week 40 time, he was the top performer in the 3 cone drill at the combine. That means he is quick in space, not straight line speed. His strengths are route running and catching the ball. Another player that needs a NFL workout routine and weight room. working with PG can make him into a superstar.

Lache Seastrunk- Another possible steal. Great compliment speed back. I think being back around RG3 will benefit him on and off the field.

The 2 seventh round picks are camp fodder. Overall good, possible great draft.

I read that he gave up 2 sacks in 500+ pass attempts. I like that. Put his ass in at RT so Mr. Polumbus can back him up. lol. Great pick.

Re: Reaction to Draft: exceeds, meets, or meh

I think this was a good draft overall. It's kinda hard to get worked up about a draft when you don't have a first round pick. I like the fact that we haven't done anything flashy during the draft and free agency (other than the D. Jax signing). It seems that in the past, whenever we've done a lot of flashy things in the offseason, they don't translate well into the regular season. I really like the fact that they've targeted hardworking and tough players.

It seems that in addition of bringing hardworking/tough/character players, the team has focused a lot on special team both in the draft and free agency. I'm fine with that, given how terrible the unit was last season (and it really hasn't been good before last year). While I hope that there are some gems in this draft that can become starters (I can see Moses being that), I would be fine with having solid contributors out of this crop of players (and I would like to see significant contribution from second year players as well).

redskins staff said he's healthy right now... but RG3 was "healthy" last year, so...

he had an mcl/pcl from what i read and not an acl (which is worse), but i don't know the lag time between being healed and being back to 100% effective.

Does everyone think Chris Chester gets cut or something? And if so is it more because of cap or play?

Re: Reaction to Draft: exceeds, meets, or meh

since no one else has proven they can play yet, ditching chester would be a cap move right now.
