Gruden Quotes, via @Redskins tweets:

Washington Redskins ‏@Redskins 15m
On LB Keenan Robinson: "You don't have to be a Ray Lewis-type player to be a successful MLB. ... I'm more about the play than the talk."

Washington Redskins ‏@Redskins 17m
Gruden on OL Josh LeRibeus: "He's in good shape, and he's made some improvements from what I saw last year."

Washington Redskins ‏@Redskins 18m
Gruden on the upcoming #SkinsCamp practices with the Patriots: "I was open to the opportunity." Said it changes the flow at practices.

Re: All things offseason discussion part II

Clark doesn’t call the defenses—that job belongs to Mike linebacker Keenan Robinson—but he is a constant stream of chatter mixing in keys and encouragement both before and after the snap.

^^ thats the best quote i read from the link from cred.

really hope clark and d hall can step in and get our secondary guys lined up right.

not sure who that guy will be closer to the LOS. got me a lil worried.

In the interest of trying to keep the discussion off of the name-change thing, I offer these tidbits.

Gruden Sees Added Depth On Defense

I defintely agree with Jay on improved depth. We didn't add any studs in FA, but we did add a lot of depth in FA and the draft. Especially excited about our OLB corps. Kerrigan and Rak should have breakout years... Rak especially. Not a breakout year in terms of impact because we all know what he can do, but I think he'll cement himself as a top 5 pass rusher. And then you've got Yeti, RJax, and Jenkins beneath them; I think we'll see a little something from Murphy, and hopefully Jenkins shows a little something more as well. Jenkins is an above-average OLB athletic-wise and has a wide variety of pass-rushing moves, so I really hope he sees the field more. If that takes playing STs, I hope he doesn't hesitate this year.

I know it is risky to pay RBs, but he's their best offensive player. I wonder if Seattle has any money left after paying their D.

He's getting 5.5 million this year and scheduled to count 9 million against the cap next year. He's very lucky to be getting that 5.5 mil base in salary this year because he's going to be cut in the off-season next year. They would be stupid to give him another contract with him turning 29 next season. Not when they have to pay Russell Wilson and Okung.

He'd be stupid not to ask for a new contract given that they just won the Super Bowl and he's their best offensive player.
