Sheesh! I hardly know what to say to a fan who is so pessimistic before the season even starts.

I feel like you need counseling. Let me give it a try: You hate your mother. You hate your father. You hate the Redskins.

Now, sing two choruses of "Hail to the Redskins", pop a cold one, sit in a lounge chair on the veranda, and imagine how great it's going to be with a healthy RGIII making plays all over the field, Alfmo running wild, DeSean catching 70-yard bombs , nachos and beer at the stadium, the finest cheerleaders in the league, crying Cowboys fans. Life is good. Are you starting to feel better yet?

I grew up in Washington, D.C., so I'm not used to hearing the truth.

BTW, here's something from Rich Tandler's blog that you and over the mountain ought to know:

—It appears that the Redskins running game will be very similar—perhaps identical—to what we’ve seen the past couple of years with a few power runs sprinkled in. Trent Williams likes the continuity. “I think that just goes to show you how football savvy [Jay Gruden] is,” he said. “All coaches preach to guys that you’ve got to be unselfish and do what’s good for the team, and I think that is the biggest example right there. It’s just showing that he can come in and adapt and play to our strengths, even though he is a new head coach.”
