Only pass that Johnny Manziel can throw is one that my 6 month old daughter can probably throw.

He needs a lot of work. There's no way he's ready to be a week one starter. The Browns should just name Hoyer the guy and get on with it.

Hoyer was even worse. Atleast Jonny has legs.

I'm sorry man, but this is a weak argument. Hoyer is the more experienced QB and can probably give the Browns the better chance to win. Unfortunately, Cleveland is having Hoyer split the reps with Johnny Crybaby, and it's screwing them both. Manziel has a lot to learn and is just not ready to be the starter period. It would serve both players and the team for Hoyer to be the starter and Manziel be the back up for game three. Give Hoyer more reps with the first team and Manziel reps with the second team.

Unless their defense can somehow carry them, I don't see Cleveland winning many games with that mess of a QB situation.

They have a horrible qb situation, but imo manziel gives them the better chance to win. On top of that, they invested alot in him. They arent going to win many games no matter who starts so why not let your future begin now? Hoyer only threw six passes, I get that. However they were six bad ones. Jonny may not have handled the trash talk, but Hoyer cant handle the competition, and it showed. He looked nervous and on edge.
Edit : id rather have a kid with a chip on his shoulder who wants to win than a kid thats afraid to lose. Also before I get accused of calling Manziel great, im just saying he is better than Brian Hoyer. Lol

Maybe you're still jet lagged, but right now Manziel is not better than Hoyer. Hoyer and Manziel have been splitting reps, and that's going to affect any QB, especially one that hasn't played since October of last year (Hoyer).

If I'm Cleveland, I make Hoyer the starter, let him get reps with the first team for the rest of the season, and let Johnny Crybaby play with the second team (consistently) in the last two games. If they keep this up, they're going to be destroyed by the likes of Pittsburgh and Baltimore, no matter who's under center.

Ehhh. I know the kid is a whiny little punk. BUT im not talking about who id rather hang out with. Yeah Hoyer hasnt played since October, but he has been in the NFL since 2009. Manziel has participated in two pre-season games. So if you are going to use the experience factor lets look at the big picture. Again I agree with you about rotating them in and out of games. Its a recipe for disaster.

Johnny can barely handle calling plays.

What the Browns are doing with this supposed competition is kind of a joke.

And look at how easy he got rattled with just some simple trash talk.

He's clearly out of his league right now and it's only preseason. Teams that game plan and scheme against him will eat him alive.
