Re: Hard Knocks: Falcons

I have watched all 3 episodes. It is not horrible this year.

Though I can remember the older ones being so much better. I be like what what the hour is up it just started. Last night I caught myself checking the cable box time to see how much was longer.

Re: Hard Knocks: Falcons

I couldn't even last through the first episode before I was bored out of my skull.

How many times did they say 'tough' last night?

Just a word of warning don't play the Hard Knocks 'tough' drinking game, you'll die.

Ugh and I thought they overused tough in the first episode.

I heard Ross Tucker say you can't coach up tough, you either are or you aren't.

Cox had a funny line in episode 3.....

He showed a picture of his 30 year old daughter and everyone was like oh.

And he said " I told you guys i have been fawking since I was 10."

I was laughing.

I've actually come around on both of them. First episode they kind of came off to me as kind of harsh and cold. The harsh part doesn't bother me, actually I kind of prefer it but without a lighter side to balance it out it just seems like it would wear thin after a while. Since then though they've seemed to showcase a more human side and they seem to care about their players. I really liked the part in the 2nd episode where Tice made the players sing "I believe I can fly" when they spread their hands out ("Who you gonna block standing around like this").

DJ Swearinger (#36 on the Texans) is quite the trash talker. They're pulling him away and right after he tells whoever he got in a scuffle with Douglas that he was going to knock him out he just goes "I'M GOOD COACH! YOU GOT THE WRONG ONE!"

Matt Ryan, still boring, but really does seem like be an excellent teammate. HBO kind of wasted a lot of time with that chicken wire joke.

Favorite part for me of the third episode was the receiver from Amsterdam. Especially the part in the film room where the other guys asked him what languages he spoke and he just list casually list 3 languages besides English almost as if its normal for people to be fluent in that many languages. The part where he tries to explain himself and then just gives up saying "I f**ked up" was pretty hilarious to.
