They had a lot of trouble with the rush today, and weren't able to wait on the longer routes. That's why they ran so many so short routes. Our line doesn't excel at pass pro, and neither do our backs. We do really well moving forward, not backwards. The all 22 stuff, will show more.

U still can run cross, picks, and quick slant. I didn't see it

I saw Garcon run by a pick from Roberts. No quick slants though, and Griffin missed a few guys open on some crossing routes. I didn't say he had a "great" game.

I tired of people saying "we didn't lose because of RG3." We didn't win because of him either.

Too many draft picks, too much hype, for not much on the field.

Re: Skins vs Texans Gameday Thread

Okay, stopped watching before the inevitable, was watching with my father-in-law, and it became apparent this was not going to be a good out come for the Skins. Once the punt was blocked, it was game over. Like many fans, I bought into the hype, that the Skins would beat the Texans, however, much like all of us were excited about going up against a 2-14 team from last year, we are the fellow bottom feeder, that other teams, or at least fans circle as a win. My expectations are muted, that game was very disappointing, the worst part of the lose are, poor special teams play, and again, the secondary giving up the big pass play. It is uncanny, how when a player like Bacarri Rambo is out on the field, the other team manages to exploit him for the ‘big play’, to quote ole’ Norv Turner. Not giving up on the season, but, this was like taking the ice bucket challenge in terms of cooling off expectations.

Re: Skins vs Texans Gameday Thread

I think RGIII is a mediocre QB, but I could be wrong, because its hard to give any QB a fair shake when Polumbus and Chester are pass blocking for you. I know Watt is outstanding, but it just highlighted how BAD Polumbus is. He just got destroyed all game. Long and Moses should be starting. We drafted them, and I honestly don't think they could do any worse. Even if they could, at least they would be gaining experience. It would have only got easier from there, for Moses in particular. Valuable experience against the best defensive player in football would have been invaluable, if that makes sense.

Griffin is no Andrew Luck but he's still pretty good, he has lost his mojo. What RGIII needs is a few good games to get his confidence back and believe in himself.

Im beginning to think the whole "griff was good in a gimmicky offense" thing has some validity to it. Last year i blamed the brace for everything - his motion was screwing up his mechanics which was affecting his throws / confidence ( aka - ability to go through your progressions). After the pre season and today it is slightly apparent to me that he is not that good. He does not see the whole field. He panics. He holds the ball waaaay to long.

You cant blame griffin. Polumbus isnt a starter! How about that. Cousins isnt the better option period. Its hilarious sometimes how people cant see the big picture.

Fumble snap, fumble exchange, poor reads at the line and not seeing wide open receivers but not his fault.

Rg3 deserves some of the blame

Yup, but you also need to blame lichtensteiger for getting pushed backwards and stepping onto Griffins foot...
