I have seen enough qb play to know a dud when I see one. RG3 is destined to be an average at best in the NFL and the Skins cant afford someone drafted that high to be average.

RG3 will suck for long time to come folks.

Well Im worried, but not quite to your extent. Dude has a few attributes that give me hope, speed, smarts, strong arm. You cannot discount the damn right side of our line. It is probably the worst in the league. I am going to see if he figures things out. I have not jumped ship on him - though i am concerned. One bright spot today was his slide. It was textbook. Lol.

Just curious, what would you have said about Brees after his third year? My guess is the same thing. Allow the guy to learn and grow. He's already about 3 years behind Kirk due to the system he playing in college, and Shanahan didn't help matters much.

Here's the thing though, did the saints pay three 1st rounders + for Brees? No Brees was a 2nd round pick. The expectations are different. You don't trade up and draft a 2nd pick QB for a project QB. You are supposed to get a guy who can play in the NFL, in a NFL system.

I am not advocating putting in KC. I am saying that had Skins kept the picks and went with another QB the Skins would have been better off.

I'll take 9.2 per catch.

They were short passes because that's what Houston was giving us. One big positive is Gruden made good halftime adjustments and that's why we saw a more productive offense in that half.

That 9.2 per doesn't count, incompletions, sacks, or other broken pass plays. It is not that good.

Starting 0-1 is not that big of a deal.

Patriots, Saints, and Green Bay are all 0-1, but we pretty much know those teams will be in the hunt for the Super Bowl.

Going 0-2 is when you should be really concerned if you have playoff aspirations, seeing as how every 0-2 team since the Giants won the super bowl have missed the playoffs.

I have confidence this team will show improvement and be respectable, which is all you can ask for. 1st year coaches typically don't compete for super bowls, unless you inherit an insanely talented team. Carroll, Belichick, even Bill Walsh struggled at first. Let us just see what these guys can do and be patient.

The offense scored 6 points. That's flat out atrocious. I put it on everyone. Paul, Griffin, the line, the coaches, they all had their hand in that shit show.

People wasting breath complaining about the defense today. We blew 1 coverage, guess what so did every other team today. Rak didn't get a sack, a bunch of other pass rushers didn't either.

6 points against Houston, what 2-14 last year, is a major fucking problem. Their d ain't that great

I've got very minor complaints about the D.

Always odd to see the things people get hung up on.

Blocked PAT and punt, and 2 fumbles inside the 10. That was the ball game. Oh and Roberts was in bounds.

Nothing burns me up more is special teams eff up. Yes a couple times a year u should make a big mistake, twice in a game? That's unacceptable

did Rak have a tackle, or a pulse ?

a bunch of other pass rushers got closer to the QB than Brian did, and they didn't get paid $700,000. to disappear

Rak was invisible. However like Chico and Matty have said - our D was NOT the issue. Who cares who or how we stop them as long as we stop them. Robinson had a great game. Major upgrade from an old Fletch. Rambo had one horrible play on the long td, but our O - everything about it except the run - was the issue.

Rak made several tackles. Houston's Oline is very decent. Kerrigan and hatcher had nice days. Coefield and Jenkins were good at times.

10 points allowd on the road is a good fucking day for defense

Just because something is pointed out, it doesn't make it "complaining". It's a valid question about Orakpo not even registering a single QB hit. That doesn't mean we blame the defense or think that's the sole reason for a loss. However, when you have a DC in the off-season talk about how he's going to unleash Orakpo and he doesn't even register a single QB hit, it's something to note.

I think the point of discussing the game is to talk about all elements, whether they be good or bad.

I agree 100%. But I think Rak had a tough assignment today against Duane brown, I didn't expect much.
