This speech, while it has some nitpicks, is what I was saying he needed to do. I am not going to go bonkers and say it was amazing, but I did think he did a good job.

Sotloff's parents told they could be prosecuted for paying ransom to IS

Obama's administration is straight clown. What kind of jacked up shit is this? Threaten to prosecute the family if they paid the ransom? WTF has gone wrong with our country and government?

Boehner says unemployed ‘don’t really want’ jobs. How bad a gaffe for GOP?

Why is it that unemployed people are viewed as lazy? It's this myth that's perpetuated over and over, with people passing along anecdotal stories they've heard.

What do they want when they continue to allow jobs to be shipped overseas?

I'm still dumbfounded by how so many ignorant dumbasses can wind up on the Committee of Science, Space and Technology. Oh, I know how.....they are paid to deny it. You want to know why our government is a waste of oxygen, space and money.....this is a prime example why.

Because it often seems like they are? There are jobs out there, you just have to want to get a job.

It seems like the problem is that they don't want to do the work that is available, or they don't want to work for the pay that's being offered.

I wouldn't allow myself to go 99 weeks without a job. I find it absurd so many people do. I'd be working at a restaurant if I couldn't find a job within 30 days. I wouldn't enjoy it... but I'd do it...

There are jobs but we also need to realize that we continue to shed jobs via robosourcing and outsourcing. Robosourcing in particular is why we have an increase in productivity by companies and increase in revenue generation but continue to shed jobs. Coal mining is a great example. In 2002 the wording of the Clean Water Act to allow mountain top removal mining we increased coal output till around 2009 (it started receiving competition from natural gas at that point) but at the same time decreased the work force by 40,000 jobs due to less need for labor.

Just curious. Exactly what percentage of the unemployed do you see as lazy?

Also, exactly what kind of jobs? Minimum wage jobs? Good paying jobs?

What's the difference in them getting unemployment as compared to them getting a minimum wage job that has to be supplemented by welfare?
