You guys think the NFL really gives a flying fuck about abused women or children? Fuck no. The fact that 100% of the owners support Goodell tells you exactly what they value. They know good and god damn well he saw that video. They know good and damn well he's lying to the public about not seeing it. They already knew this, which is why they support him. They value a man who's made them rich beyond imagination. Taking the Cowboys to a worth of over 3 billion, and even a shitty team like the Bills to 1.5 billion.

No, I don't think they give a shit about anything other than money. Look at all they do to try to increase the money; they already have a money printing machine...

But they do care about PR. I'm expecting them to overreact on everything right now.

I'm honestly hoping no redskins player gets caught in a hard to explain situation... this is not a good time to be getting paged to the principal's office...

Overreact? Ummm.... If anything they should both be banned for life. I would say under-react. Also, just for the record if any Redskin is caught beating women or children I would be the first to want his ass kicked to the curb too. Your really under playing what these scumbags have done. They are complete scum - nothing more and nothing less. This is so far and beyond anything that has to do with football btw.

If the Redskins dont have a counter run play in their playbook, they really need to add one this week.

I've not commented once on what Peterson has done. I don't believe I've commented, at least on this board, about what Rice has done either. But thanks for stating my opinions for me.

I'm saying I expect them to overreact on anything moving forward in an attempt to win back some PR - or at least not lose anymore.

So when you said you hope no Redskin gets caught in a hard to explain situation that had nothing to do with Rice or AP? When you said that the league is overreacting to everything rite now that had nothing to do with Rice or AP? Come on man.

When I said I hope no redskins player gets caught in a hard to explain situation, I said that because I think the league is going to go from severely underreacting in the rice situation (the original 2 game suspension) to the opposite side because of the backlash they've been receiving.

I didn't say the league is overreacting to everything right now. I'm actually surprised the league hasn't done anything about peterson, though I expect the second indictment to do something. I expect them to over react right now on future issues. I may be wrong.

See I dont believe they will over react I believe they will react properly now because they have egg on their face. Although it would have been nice to have justice served without being caught trying to cover it up Im ok with the fact that the court of public opinion will have justice served regardless.

Ray Rice was expendable and his numbers have declined the past 2 years. (especially last year) Had that been Joe Flacco, you think they would have cut him? Hell no.

cause they were happy not disciplining rice at all until the last video was released...

this is the organization that trotted the wife out to have her accept responsibility, then highlighted it.

a fanbase that gave rice a standing ovation at training camp.

have we forgotten how this all went down again? the NFL and the Ravens would have done absolutely nothing if they could have gotten away with it.

Like they have with all the other domestic violence issues over the last few decades.

You can't honestly be buying this bullshit from the league about suddenly caring, can you?

Its got everything to do with the video. Duh. Once Flacco was caught on camera his fate would have been sealed too. No doubt about it.
