Commitment bias is a hell of a drug.

The Seahawks are a nice team.

At this point RG is not a franchise QB.

Actually, this is one of your better posts. It is also the complete opposite of what. I was saying earlier in the thread. I respect the commitment bias argument, but I don't think we can definitively say that going with Cousins is the better course of action, even if he plays very very well. Also, I think the advantage of staying with RG3 is that (provided Cousins has a good to great season) we can trade Cousins and still draft a backup plan for Griffin. We will not have that option of we cut our losses with Griffin.

You don't trade Cousins at all, unless he totally blows his stint as the starter!!!!!! RG III gets hurt one more time nobody is going to make a deal for him, they will simply wait for him to be released once his contract is up. If they rush Robert in this season, I am willing to bet he goes down again in 2014. And if he goes down again in 2015, his value is nil. You need a guy that can play QB. Do you really want to go through this again, with needing to acquire a new backup as well? My bet is Kirk will do great against our weaker opponents and be exposed somewhat against the better out of division teams in the NFC. Right now though I think with the exception of San Fran the whole conference isn't all that. Seattle didn't look all that great this past Sunday. You need to keep an experienced player regardless. Can't build a winner with dumping all of your QBs with some experience. This saga isn't going to play out til 2015. Skins would be moronic to get rid of Cousins and keep RG III only to see him go down again, and realize they don't have one decent QB that can stay healthy.

If Cousins stinks we keep him sign him for cheap , if he excels we get picks. Cousins is a basic pocket passer, similar to Colt. Pure pocket passers like Ryan have not been doing too good, they throw a lot of picks. There is a lot of football left. Let's see what Cousins does next week.
