Re: Skins vs Eagles Pre Game Thread

i didnt hear the audio but im not interpreting it as kelly being uncaring as much as he doesnt want to know certain info so he doesnt have to talk/disclose certain info ... i could totally be wrong as i would have to hear the audio.

i believe nfl teams have to disclose a certain level of info re injuries on a weekly basis (i.e. pats sayins player X has a body injury ...) but if i was a coach, the less i know the less i dislcose the less i have to talk to the media about

Maybe, but I'd be surprised if the rules that govern disclosures of injuries and player status are dependent upon the head coach's personal knowledge of the nature and extent of the injury. Seems like that would allow for the rule to be rendered meaningless pretty easily.

He may have just meant that he doesn't get into the gory details with the trainers and physicians -- he just wants to know what he can expect from the player. Or he may be a complete jerkweed. Since I cannot stand the Eagles, I prefer to think the latter.

So I decided to watch, and man he's really an a**. Watch from 0:20 to 0:40, I bet you think it's worse when you see his body language and hear him.

WATCH: Chip Kelly press conference | NJ.com

Granted a lot of it is more about the the press but this was 20seconds in and the 2nd question. I can not imagine him handling the Washington media for 1 press conference.

C i listened from the start to about the 2 min mark (im at work)

he seemed short and perhaps he should have done one of those fake precursors of "i dont mean to be short with you but i just dont care ...."

to me he said what he said - he lets the medical staff be medical staff and he doesnt try and understand what a 32 strain or whatever is, he as a football coach and just wants to know whether he can play or not ..

city of baltimore > city of dc .. unless your a rich kid or a well paid professional

Why is FOX45 showing (or not showing) Redskins Games? FOX45 strives to broadcast as many Redskins games as are available to us. The FOX network follows the AWAY NFC teams each week. CBS follows the AWAY AFC teams each week. Here`s how you can tell if FOX45 will be showing the Redskins:

If the Redskins are away or playing an NFC team at home in the afternoon, then the game would be on FOX.

If the Redskins are playing at home, against a visiting AFC team in the afternoon, then the game would be on CBS. If the Ravens - the market`s home team, are playing at home in the afternoon against an AFC team, then the game will air on CBS and FOX45 will not be able to show ANY game at the same time - even if FOX has a national double-header weekend scheduled.

If the Ravens - the market`s home team, are playing at home in the afternoon against an NFC team, then the Ravens will most likely air on FOX45 at that time, even if a Redskins game is scheduled at the same time.

IMPORTANT EXCEPTION: If the FOX network offers a game that may have playoff implications for The Ravens, the market’s home team - FOX45 may opt to air this division or conference game in lieu of a Redskins game. These rules are set forth by the National Football League and are unfortunately beyond much of our control. Some Redskins games will undoubtedly not be carried on FOX45 due to these restrictions and we apologize to our viewers for this inconvenience.

Why doesn`t FOX air any other games when the Ravens are playing? NFL broadcast rules prohibit stations from airing any games while the home team is playing at home.

Jay Gruden and this clown are night and day. I listened to the whole thing and it's really hard to like the guy. Granted, I'm a Redskins fan, but he looks like a guy that's difficult to get along with. Like I said yesterday, I bet Kelly loses his team's support if they ever start losing.

Something I noticed right away is that Kelly is a gum-chomper. That sh*t really grinds my gears. I don't mind silent closed-mouth gum chewers at all, but if you're a chomper, GTFO. That didn't help my immediate impressions of him at all.
