He has historically, in both the pros and college, faced bouts on inaccuracy and bad decision making. He has a little bit of gunslinger in him. That can work for a team if there is something that can augment it into a value..like mobility. What I saw yesterday was a guy who can make throws, understands the offense, and has confidence. What I also saw was a guy who flat out missed pretty easy throws in the 4th quarter that had to be made. Throws that guys like Rodgers/Brees/Manning/Brady make. The type of QB Cousins is has to be at that level for us to win. He has to be a play-maker with his arm and he can't do that by missing 5-yard outs.
GMs don't know crap when it comes to QB. And that draft was loaded with QB talent. If draft position matters, why do so many 1st rounders flame out? And why was Brees a 2nd rounder, Brady a 6th rounder, Wilson and Foles 3rd rounders, Romo undrafted (well, OK), Kaepernick a 2nd rounder, etc. etc.

By the way, Rodgers, Brees, Manning and Brady are all future hall of famers and all of them looked pretty human yesterday. Talk about setting the bar high. You expect Cousins to be at their level in his 5th career start. Pretty reasonable expectation as it happens all the time.

No I expect to see some growth from his college days and I'm not sure wd have. Let's be clear...for much of the game he looked fantastic. He put us into position to win. Awesome. But I want a qb who WINS, not just puts us into position to win. When it came time to WIN yesterday he was just ok. All I'm saying is everyone needs to pump the brakes a little here. I am cautiously optimistic about KC but I am also uncomfortably unsure what we've seen in his very limited playing time is anything more than a decent QB.

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

on the last possession for us .. we called two out patterns which is fine i guess. we had time on the clock and good field position so i thought we werent limited to sideline routes.

on the 3rd and 10, cousins puts the ball right where it needed to be for that play call but the corner just saw that same look the snap prior and made a great play.

4th and 10 - im curious to hear from garcon and cousins about this one. it appeared they werent on the same page. it looked like garcon cut off his route and cut into the open space. cousins threw it like garcon was not supposed to cut off his route. was this a read play? should cousins have read the same read as garcon and thrown into the open space? .. just a tough way to end a tough game.

i thought a screen play on the last possession would have been helpful .. or just more screens in general. since the run wasnt really working or making the pass rush hesitate for a second, some screens sprinkled in would have had the rushers at least thinking for a second before pinning their ears back.

The criticism of Cousins is about what I expected from the diehard RGIII fans, they want Cousins to fail.
Question: were you as tough on RGIII after he took a dump on the field in the first half of the Texans game. RGIII's offense put up six points in the entire game against a team that had lost 14 games in a row. Did he have us in position to win that one going down the stretch?

of course not. the playbook for RG3 is so watered down and limited to dump downs and 1 look reads. with that said, RG3 will get better and will grow into a better all round passer and manager.

What a load of crap. Of course, I don't want Cousins to fail. I'm not even a diehard RG3 fan.

It will all play out. Giants next. It's funny, I always thought it was about winning not stats. I guess Kirk Cousins is a special case. If the game is on the line and it's 4th and 10 I'm choosing RG3 to get those 10 yards. He would sacrifice his body and make sure we win.

cousins answered some questions yesterday, one being he can run the gruden offense.

Can he win the big game, that is yet to be answered. +

Im worried about the Alfmo injury more than any other injury on the team. Really hoping he is alright and can go thursday.

I'm worried about DHall. Redd and Helu are good runners. Breeland aka tree land aka (auto complete) brew land. He ain't scared to tackled like Ramhoe.

There a lot to be optimistic about.

I just don't get the black-or-white world you live in.

RGIII is one of our QB's. I support and cheer for him and, when deserved, criticize him. Because he is one of our QB's, I never root for him to fail.

I know that I am not the only one who feels this way.
