Fat Albert's probably still in the middle of court.

The POS actually got 400k last year. Hope it's already spoken for, and/or he chokes on it.

Re: Our Secondary

Bumping old thread about secondary.. Any updates on Phillip Thomas? Is he done after only one year? There was a lot of hype last year, and then even in the spring, so when we released him & no one picked him up & landed on practice squad -- I'm assuming he's still not impressed / is still injured / or just plain sucks...?

And what the heck is going on with Tracy Porter. What a waste..

Re: Our Secondary

I think Thomas will be called up very soon. Maybe after the bye. I don't know for sure but from what I've been told he's totally healthy and they're close to calling him up

Awesome. It would be great to see him on the field to stay.

Re: Our Secondary

Amazing how much the secondary has struggled without Hall to cover the #1 wr. Hoping he makes a full recovery but his age probably means it'll be tough for Hall to return to form. Our secondary is weak. But it could be fixed in a year, look at what denver did.

Yeah at safety in coverage they have struggled. Tree really struggled at first, but I think has gradually improved each game. Biggers is up and down. I think surely they have missed Hall, but I dont think its been as bad as I anticipated at CB. If your talking safety, then yeah its bad. Merrieweather hasnt been good and Clark is just old. Tracy Porter has been a predictable horrible signing

Aside from an inefficient offense, secondary has been the major weakness of the defense. I think Amerson and Breeland have talent, but that's a lot of inexperience in an already weak secondary.

Re: Our Secondary

Breeland last week.

1 Int, 5 tackles, 1 pd, 2 TFL and 2 of the tackles were third down stops a yard from the chain.

I think Breeland has alott of potential I really do hes been impressive. Clark over his head has been major.

Clark is missing tackles in bunches, cant do that as a safety

Can't outrun father time. Clark might be helping the young guys more than we know, but his own on-field performance is declining. Definitely wouldn't mind an upgrade this offseason.

Our Secondary

Losing Hall was a killer. He was one of those guys we just couldn't afford to lose.

Future looks bright though with Amerson and Breeland.

If anyone doubts this, unfortunately Dez Bryant will make this clear on Monday.

I'm sure he'll be back, but if Breeland and Amerson keep improving, I would hesitate to give either starting job back to Hall. Maybe he finally makes the move to safety. Clark is on a 1 year deal, after all.
