It's just as naive to assume he won't. It's more rare for guys to peak in their first few starts. There are far more examples of guys getting better with experience than vice versa. Being encouraged by his performance is a reasonable reaction to what he's done the last 2 weeks.

Of course injuries can happen. I think what Deezel was saying is that based on KC's first few games as a starter, that it is more reasonable to expect him to flourish than to wilt.
