The last INT he stared down DJ, but still threw off his back foot because he had a lineman in his face. He threw off his back foot on 2 of the other INT's which were the result of poor ball placement. That is also something that can be corrected.

The Redskins fan base is so hot and cold. Last week, Cousins was the hero of Washington. Now, everyone is ready to throw him under the bus.

I'm not saying Cousins is the next Joe Montana, but he could easily be the next Andy Dalton, and I'll take that any day of the week if we can put the pieces around him to be successful like Cincy has done.

Considering our "franchise" QB will now be coming off 3 surgeries in 5 years. It's not exactly comforting.
You and I are living in a different reality. What I saw was that all of the int's could have been completed passes had KC just thrown it to the right jersey color.

I am reminded of a young Vinny Testaverde, who threw so many inaccurate interceptions, his team had his eyes checked for color blindness.

As for fans running hot and cold, several fans here have been saying the same things - both positive and negative - about Cousins for some time.

So you think he completes the first pass to Grant who had a blanket on him? He threw the ball inside because he threw off his backfoot. He didn't have to throw off his backfoot, but he did and I blame that on experience and working on mechanics. His internal clock might of been a bit off since he was already pummeled a few times.

Or the pass to Garcon where they had one safety over the top who read Cousins the whole way? He made the same exact throw last week against Philly, and looked the safety off which resulted in a completion.

The third INT was just a bad read and throw. Was due to him staring down Roberts again. If he had the time, he might of seen the TE wide open in the middle of the field, but he released the ball in 2.6 seconds with the LE in his face.

So, yes.. I guess we do live in different worlds. In my world, if you stare down WR's in the NFL in a WCO, you will be butchered. Something, Cousins didn't do in week 2/3.

I believe that the team fell behind late, and Cousins was trying to hard for the big play to compensate for the lack of production we were getting on offense and defense. Outside the ONE Morris TD run, our run game was invisible, and we were behind in double scores in a blink of an eye.

A bigger factor people keep forgetting is we started inside our own 20 7/9 drives before the 4th Q.

Perhaps he feels fan experience is enhanced by superior product on the field so he doesn't worry about stadium atmosphere. Oh wait...

Re: Giants Game Negatives

Discussing Cousins INTs, here is a good breakdown on the INTs during the game.

Break it Down: Kirk Cousins' mechanical failures led to disaster against Giants - NFL - SI.com

The problem in this game is we got behind and Cousins tried to play the role of Super Man without having the skills to back it up. He needed to play his game and take what the defense gave him. Even the best QBs in the league know that forcing stuff generally never works out. That was the difference in this game and the last two games. The previous two, we saw Kirk playing to his strengths and taking what the defense gave. If he can do that, we can win. If he tries to do what he did this past Thursday, we are going to be drafting in the top 3.

What are you talking about? That article details instance after instance where Cousins could have completed the pass but threw an interception instead because he was so inaccurate with his throws...which is precisely what you have argued against.

Which is based off his mechanics, and him staring down WR's.. Which is fixable. He completes 60% of his passes and is deemed inaccurate.

Re: Giants Game Negatives

Our QB just had 4 INTs and 1 fumble in one game. Our defense gave up a shit ton of points for the 2nd consecutive week while providing no real pressure. Our special teams is still shit. As a team we had 6 fucking turnovers. We now face two of the harder teams in the NFL the upcoming weeks with a possibility of starting out 1-5............and yet....

......here we are here discussing the god damn concession booth and whether the beer it's selling is fresh.

Re: Giants Game Negatives

I am not turning in my fan card permanently, but these jackasses have given me literally nothing to cheer for over these last 25 years (wasn't really old enough to remember the 91 SB team) and seeing as how we won't beat either Seattle or Arizona, I might just skip both of those games (and the 10 after that and find something else to do with my Sundays) because life is too short to subject myself to pure bullshit every fall and be happy with it.

All they have to do is be competitive in one of those games and fans will start believing again. Short term memories

As of right now, they haven't earned that patience from me.l One thing I will say, why did we franchise Orakpo, talk about money that could have went to a safety and an offensive lineman.
