That's another thing that bugs the hell out of me though. Gruden's comments after the game about how this was a "wakeup call". What? That's a perfect example of the delusional arrogance that has seeped into every corner of this franchise, from the owner to the coaches to the players and sadly to a chunk of the fan base as well. And certainly the local media.

Coach, you were 1-2 coming into the game...what did you need a freaking wake up call for? Is the sky in your world purple and were the Redskins 3-0 in some bizarre fantasy reality? You beat Jacksonville...a pathetic excuse for an NFL franchise. That's it. That was this franchise's ONE measly win going back almost a calendar year. Most local high school teams would probably look like world beaters against Jacksonville.

I think we all at some point overvalue are own players. That's the nature of fans in general. We have to remember this is a 3 win team. We're better than Jacksonville, but we're probably not better than Cleveland.
