good luck to that team that runs this magical 4-3 he fits better into. he has never played DE in 4-3 in the NFL....he sucks at keeping contain as a OLB so wouldn't be much better in the 4-3 and also is not that great tackling.

He actually has played DE in a 4-3 in the NFL, his rookie year with us. And that was his best year so far. He doesnt need magic, just needs his hand on the ground with no pass coverage responsibilities. He is much quicker off the ball when his hand was on the ground and that set up his speed rush better. The speed rush being better set up his bull rush. When he rushes from a 3-4 OLB stand up position, he is no where near as good as a pass rusher than he has shown when he is in a 3 point stance.

Its not happening here, but I do think he will have more success as a 4-3 DE than he does as a 3-4 OLB who spends a fair amount of time in pass coverage. We just keep shoving the square peg in a round hole and blaming the player for it not working out.
