D. Hall as safety is intriguing. I think he brings a lot to the table but the concept that he could just slide over and be the D's tackler of last resort is a bit of a reach. He very much has the CB mindset ("I'm on an island, my guy won't catch the ball.") Being a safety requires playing a lot more facing the QB than running with the WR.

IF he can make the transition, I am all for it. I just think it's a bigger transition and a bigger IF than folks make it out to be.

Wasn't there a time when his tackling and willingness to tackle were highly questionable? I know he has gotten better, but I just don't see Hall as a full time safety.

I think the problem we've had at FS is that we don't have a guy with good coverage skills and some speed to be that last line of defense against the pass. I think we can have a decent secondary with Amerson/Breeland at CBs, DHall at FS, and Phillip Thomas at SS.
