Stripped down passing attack, simple one read stuff off play action. The read option had every D totally off guard that year. Kinda brilliant really, they took a QB who has not at all ready for a pro offense and made him rookie of the year.

Yeah but mortgaged the future with the draft picks, didn't protect his health and didn't do their due dillegence with effectively coaching the qb position. Brilliant. Eff them

Re: McCoy to Start Against Indy

I think this needed to happen. I think Gruden knew all along that Griffin was just not where he needed to be. I just think Gruden put Griffin in these last few games to show Allen and Snyder that Griffin is not the franchise quarterback they were hoping he was.

So, hopefully Gruden has Snyder and Allen's attention, and hopefully the front office is willing to let Gruden do what he needs to do to turn this team around. This team won't get turned around until some changes in the front office take place, however.

I trust Gruden. I like RGIII, but my eyes don't lie to me. I know what I've seen out on the field, and it's been pretty horrible. The offensive line doesn't help, but Griffin has been horrible.

Congratulations. Can't imagine how good it feels to see the Redskins reach their lowest point in 20 years.

I take no solace in being right about trading a boat load of picks for a guy who isn't a sure thing. Hell, it would seem that should have been common sense. /shrug

Since Shanny had full control, isn't that really all on Shanny?

If memory serves Shanny wasnt sold on taking RG but the owner fell in love and the rest is history.

I thought at the time the Skins didnt have choice but to make a move to get RG. Its a QB league and the Skins needed one badly. Who could have predicted that RG and his Dad were going decide that he had to become a pocket passer at the expense of everything and everyone else.

Mike agreed to that trade very reluctantly

Its funny that people can say Cousins deserves the shot because other QBs threw picks too. Yet, Colt cannot have that same comparison? Why because hes 3 years older? He is 28. Not 38.

Hes been through the shit at Cleveland and had his bumps. I just think people are brushing him aside and forgetting hes 2-0.

Its about winning. What happens if Colt wins 4 straight? Maybe im playing devil advocate here

I see colt as cousins with a weak arm.

I just dont think colt can be anything more than a game manager bc his noodle arm effectively shrinks the field for passing plays.

He's 2-0 mainly because Garçon made a huge play against Tennessee and the D pressured the heck outta Romo all night long.

He's adequate enough to do what's asked within the offense he's just not a guy that can carry things. He's a backup not a long term answer.

Also... people are forgetting how God-awful our offense looked in the first half of that Dallas game...

The 4th quarter, 2 drives, and a win make Colt look incredible... but again, I say... He had 1 whole touchdown and 1 interception in 2 games played...

The only Redskins QB to light up the scoreboard and hit DeSean deep this year is Cousins... I believe that Colt is starting because Jay HATES, I mean strongly HATES turnovers by his QB... and Colt will be a game manager who won't lose the game... but Cousins moves this offense and puts more points up than any other QB we have

Also... I think it's Colt over Cousins right now because Jay thinks Colt gives us the best chance to win right at this moment... and he feels like he NEEDS the wins. Us fans don't mind losing from here on to get that great high draft pick (that we will just waste... ha)...

but Jay is in his first Head Coaching job in the NFL, trying to live up to his brother's legacy, and sitting at 3-8... so I guess I understand why Colt... but man, I still say Cousins is the best move for the next 5 games to get clear gauge on the future... let's say it's yours from here out... no pressure... and see how he plays...
