That Guy Living Legend Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: VA Age: 43 Posts: 17,620	Re: Dumbest rule in football. illegal contact is touching the WR after 5 yards... the clearest example is how CBs used to keep their hand on the WR shoulder to keep track of where they were (champ did it a lot), which didn't really affect the WRs route. pass interence is interfering with their ability to catch a ball, by throwing them to the ground, pushing them, tripping them, etc.
