There were people talking that Dan and Bruce hung realllll late at the office last night...later than usually for a Sunday Game. Heard Snyder is ranging between disbelief and utterly-digusted-pissed

Re: Couldn't watch Today

I've been spending Sundays at the NICU with my son, so I've been recording the games. Yesterday's game, however, I decided not to watch it. I recorded it, but found out the score and then deleted it as soon as I got home. I figured there was no sense in investing my time watching a horrible team play their form of football.

There have only been a sparingly few games over the last 20 years that I have not watched. Mostly that had to do with me not being home or for some reason, the game wasn't on TV. I had just started with the NFL Sunday Ticket when I moved to NC, but only that 2012 season has it been worth the money - and I got it free that year, lol! I won't be renewing NFL Sunday Ticket next season. In fact, I'll probably disconnect from DirecTV altogether. That's money that needs to be better spent on my son's medical bills.

I'll always be a fan of the Redskins, and watching them play is a big part of my life. But at some point, you just have to realize that it's doing more harm than good. But one thing is for sure, I'll never be a turncoat for another team - unless it's the Panthers. And the only reason why I say that is that I am in Carolina. But, they're not too exciting to watch either.

Somebody out there has to be sitting on a stockpile of old games from the 80's. I would much rather spend my time watching those games than what's on the field now. As far as I'm concerned, those were the real Washington Redskins.

Re: Couldn't watch Today

i like to double down during these moments.

yesterday the family got all skins decked out before we headed out to the grocery store before kickoff.

i have 3 more games to go and i am going to cherish every single one.

each week im going to have a food theme, buy a sixer of kick ass beer, do my pre-kickoff dance/yell thing me and my daughter do and then i ill sink into the couch and act like every snap still matters.

Do you live in the DC area? If not you are a bigger man (or fool lol) than i am. If me and my family went out in Skins stuff here we would just get pointed at. Not a good point, but ones followed by laughing.

I felt like I needed a break from what has become unwatchable, bad football, I didn't watch any other games either I generally only watch the skins but this gets harder and harder as time goes on....perhaps others feel my pain
Let me say this, you picked a damn good game to miss... I wish I could follow suit, but I can't bring myself to do it...

Re: Couldn't watch Today

i hang out with a 2 year old, people tend to stay polite.

i think baltimore feels bad for us anyway, we are an after thought.

years ago it was a little different for me.

Gotcha. If thats the case than I have it worse. Not sure what you know about Eagles fans. I can always play the superbowl card, but even that is wearing thin because we just suck so bad.
