Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
Might as well give away picks with the way we've drafted lately.

Pastabelly chat
Man its nice to be undefeated..Anyway over at espn.com to start his chat. Jabba mentioned that before the Jets signed Vinny Testiclediversion, they spoke to the Skins last night and again this morning. I wonder what they offered. I would take nothing less that a first round pick.
I know this has been debated a bit already so sorry if this is old news.

Here's a link.
http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=9344 Read it while it's live, cuz it will probably be an insider article when it's done.

Re: Pastabelly chat
I think the reason the Redskins aren't interested in trading Ramsey right now is simple. They are 2-0 and in first place and looking at the schedule there is a very good chance they can be 6-2, 5-3 at the midpoint of the season. With a minor injury to Brunell, Ramsey can come in for 1-2 games and be effective at this point whereas Campbell probably cannot. If they were 0-2, they would probably be more inclined to make the deal because the chances of a playoff season would be a lot less.. It's good to know the Jets have interest though, that way you know of at least one team interested in trading for Ramsey after the season..

Re: Pastabelly chat
I heard John Clayton on ESPN Radio this morning and he speculated that Ramseys value is no more than a 4th rounder at this point. Anyone who thinks at this point they can get anywhere near a 1st round pick for Ramsey is crazy. he was only the last pick of round #1 as a rookie and if anything his value has dropped considerably since then.
They are better off holding him as insurance than getting a day 2 draft pick for him.

Re: Pastabelly chat
What was AJ Feeley worth to the Dolphins? A second round pick? I can't imagine Ramsey can actually be worth less than that

Re: Pastabelly chat
if we trade ramsey we could potentially be in the same position that the team we traded him to is. that is, the top two QBs get hurt and you're left with a mutt. i doubt that we're ready to just throw campbell in there. some feel that brunell is the better QB and others ramsey. at this point it's nice to have a good backup (whoever you feel that backup should be).
i feel ramsey will stay for the season. |

Re: Pastabelly chat
if its a 1st or 2nd or a player that could start here, i'd definately consider it... this trade (whether it happens or not) depends a lot on how good sexton is at getting his client's wishes.

Re: Pastabelly chat
Please, not another Jets - Ramsey debate.
I think we have that thread well established already. |
