I don't know how you can listen to the ejaculation fest that is Sunday Night Football.. They go crazy for every single play and Maguire is so over the top for every player that touches the ball it's ridiculous..
My age is posted for all to see -- 31. I've been watching football regularly since 1990. When I say regularly, I mean I've made it a point to be within distance of a television set for every single Redskins game for the last 15 years -- studying and analyzing every play -- almost to the point of absurdity (the wife is starting to get on me about that, btw.) Before that, I was a casual observer. The earliest Redskin game I remember is the Super Bowl win over the Dolphins.

That said, I can't really remember when I started watching Chris Berman, but somebody else hit the nail on the head about him: Berman is who he is. I don't look for him to reinvent himself in an effort to 'be more original'. I always thought that if an act was original when someone created it, that fit the definition of "original". It's only non-original if someone copys it.

But hey, if you don't like him, that's cool. Apparently, there will be a whole lot less of him you'll have to put up with.

I'll never understand why ESPN (Disney, in reality) would let all of that get away.

Hey just curious, why was this thread moved to the Parking Lot?

It may not be Redskins talk, but it's still NFL related.

While it is NFL related, the Locker Room talk generally refers more to information pertinent to on-field activity. That's why we moved it to the Parking Lot.

look, i dont need no stinking sportscaster sounding like Chef Emeril.

btw i hate john madden too.
i also hate that guy paul maguire. oh god lets not forget dan dierdorf.
god damn i them.
lets not forget shannon sharpe.

suprisingly i like aikman and johnston. i love al michaels and the play byb play from espn sunday night. theisman isnt bad either. joe buck is ok.

Man.....you must have had a bad day or life or something... the only ones I could do without on your list are Dan Dierdorf and Shannon Sharpe. Madden isn't what he used to be..but I've always liked John Madden and it's going to be weird not hearing him call a game...... I guess because as long as I have been old enough to watch football, I've always knew the Redskins were playing a big game when Pat Summerall and John Madden were calling it.
