Re: New Defensive Coordinator 2015

Hey I found a quote this morning that pissed me off and inspired this thread. From our boy Baccardi Rambo when asked big difference between Skins and Bills staff: "(Bills)Coaches require you to watch film"

sigh

Holy crap. It's little offhand comments like that, and Cooley's comments about pulling into Redskins Park during the week and nobody being there.

This team is looking more and more like a joke. And I don't think it started with Gruden, or Shanahan. I think it's been going on a long time.

Re: New Defensive Coordinator 2015

My wish would be Todd Bowles ( he's going nowhere unless is HC)

My realistic DC if/when he gets fired is Ron Rivera

Alternate DC Ray Horton or Brian Baker

I say bring in Ron Rivera and bring back Sexy Rexy

Rambo would definitely have a bone to pick with a team that cut him first year, and now he's being coached up to the pro level. But that statement is a burner if at all true.

I have a hard time believing Shanahan didn't require film time. It seems like discipline and preparation has completely gone out the window since then.

I wouldn't put it on Shanny as much as I put it on Morris. The position coach would be at fault on that one.

Shouldn't have to be a requirement really. It's like a professor requiring students to study their textbooks.

you would think...but. I know I was the type, like many I knew, who studied their text when they absolutely had too

Film study should be hibitual for professionals, but for young guys(say less than 3-4 years) then I think a requirement is a good way to mold a player.

Proof is in the pudding, Buffalo defense is flat ballin this season

Rambo still sucks. Anyone can luck into some picks. Let's see his tackling improve and I'll believe.

Yeah I agree Rambo sux, but my point was film study doesnt seem like a priority for our team. Cooley made the same point the week before...Its a problem.

And one of those int literrally bounced into Rambo's hands

Yeah I hear you.

The good news it's hard to imagine Haslett coming back. Someone has to be the fall guy and he seems to be the best candidate. I hope we can the whole defensive staff.

Dont know about the whole defensive staff. LB play has been much better and the run fit overall this year has been a lot better. Tackling has been better as well.

I guess I think the front 7 has been playing to their potental, which means DL, LBs are in sync. Kerrigan is playing better than he has in the past. The back end is horrid and the coordination between the front 7 and the backend is bad as well.

As for Haslett, yes he needs to go, he has been average at best, more often bottom half. Rex would be great, but dont know if he would come here.

Teaching and mentoring is part of the job too.

Rambo sucks. He got two picks and the entire Redskin fanbase thinks he's something special all of a sudden.? If he has to stay on the field for any length of time, he's going to get exposed.

Also why didn't he watch film on his own time? It shouldn't be a requirement. If you're a pro and take your job seriously then you should already watch film. Obviously he didn't.

Reminds me of Chris Horton when he was here. 2 picks in one game as a rook and he lived off that rep for years.
