Makes no sense man, griffin needs a QB coach to succeed and Jay just didn't get the job done like he did with dalton. Hopefully it changes next yr

Not having a "QB coach" isn't that big of a deal to me. Gruden was hired at least in part because of his success developing Dalton, so he's always going to be hands on, more so than a lot of head coaches with their QB. And then we have McVay, who basically serves as a QB coach along with his OC duties. How many different coaches do the QBs need?

Anyway, I think Gruden wants a big hand in developing his QBs. Not sure he would even want a QB coach.

All year long we've suffered from poor QB play, no matter who was under center. Something needs to change there, like having a real, dedicated QB coach.

But is that Gruden's fault? Maybe he just needs more time to develop these guys... if they're even worth developing. This is his first year here after all.

I wouldn't be opposed to the idea, just don't think it's necessary.

Yeah I mean Gruden and McVay both work closely with the QBs, on Sundays you always see McVay right there with them on the bench. I don't think it's a huge thing to not have a dedicated "QB coach".

Well, you guys have it as you want. But given than every one of our QB's has underexcelled this year, to me the situation screams for a fix.

jay gruden disagrees with you and thinks that the redskins need a QB coach.

I think being a rookie and being the HC/OC/QB coach is just too much to juggle at once. otherwise he might have adjusted the offense to his players sooner and griffin could have had better fundamentals (notice: could, not necessarily would).

also, i don't think you can really trade kirk for much at this point, maybe a 7th or a conditional? I wish we moved him when we could have gotten a 3rd.

Link? I've heard him say he would consider adding one, but never that he definitively wants one. Speculation on my part now, but adding a dedicated QBs coach would likely lead to him stepping back, and I doubt he wants that.
