Since Brady's suspension is 4 games without pay the team is actually making a net profit after the fine. Leave it to rich old white men to find a way to profit out of this.

Re: All things off season 2015.
Based on Matty's estimate of $4B net worth, a $1M fine is equivalent to a $12.50 fine for someone making 50K/year.
There. I did the math. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

For Kraft paying $1M fine is chump change!

That's like saying for Mayweather getting socked in the face doesn't suck.
Getting socked in the face will always suck.

Re: All things off season 2015.
Especially, as was pointed out on twitter, if Brady serves a 4 game suspension they save 1.8 million. My guess though is the league plans on the suspension being reduced to 2 games in which case the fine simply keeps the patriots from keeping Brady's salary.

Brady gets suspended and the Pats lose a first rd pick and the focus is all on Kraft's fine? Makes sense.

Failure to produce McNally one more time made it easier for NFL to hammer Patriots | ProFootballTalk
Patriots really dug their own grave with how they handled the investigation. Exactly. The draft picks were the biggest thing in my opinion. Even with Tom missing 4 games, they can still win that division.

Re: All things off season 2015.
I understand why Brady got punished. I am confused why Kraft/Patriots got punished though. I was under the impression that the report, which is what the punishment was based on, cleared pretty much everyone except for Brady and the two locker room guys.
To me it is like suspending a team for a drug violation. Doesn't make sense. |

BTW, the NFL doesn't need to prove that this culture of cheating exists to the same level that it would if this were a court case.

Re: All things off season 2015.
I wish some of the morons in the media would realize/remember that Brady is also being punished for not cooperating with the investigation and basically lying the league.

Brady and the Patriots acts of arrogance and entitlement is old. They have no one to blame but themselves. I hope they get no where on their appeal . If your waiting for people in this country to stand up and be responsible, keep waiting. If this sob would have just stood up and been accountable, with something along the lines of: "This is a common practice along across the league and at every level of the game which I participated in...the league's standard of air pressure in the football is antiquated and needs revision. I should have taken a different direction and consulted the league to review the air pressure rules of the football. Even though I 100% do not believe this affected any outcome of any games, I am apologize for my actions, its wont happen again." The media turds would then nod their heads in agreement and we wouldnt be here.
