I guess we can agree to disagree, but I don't want my team cutting ties with a guy that has a probowl, playoff appearance to his name at 24. Injuries are real. He's an option if nothing else.

He reinforced that decision almost every time he ran read option this year by handing the ball off despite plenty of wide open space to pick up 8-10 sometimes more untouched yards. His accomplishments are a non factor because he no longer plays the same way he did in 2012. What has he done since his conversion to a pocket passer? It's easier to recognize what he hasn't done. He targeted one pass against Dallas greater than 10 yards through the air. That is a single pass attempted greater than 10 yards. With one of the biggest deep threats in the league on our team it's a 50/50 shot DJax comes down with it if he just throws it out in front of him. He is about as effective as Peyton Manning would be if Manning and his dad, Archie decided he was no longer going to pass from the pocket and he was going to be an option QB. |
