Damn Sweetheart....the flu bug has been going around and I really don't feel well. I think I should just curl up on the sofa and watch TV and drink lots of fluids. Would you mind bringing me a beer?

Trust me, you've got to lay down the law early in a relationship. If you don't you'll be shopping every Sunday.

Remember the Skins-Vikings playoff game in '92? The one where B-Mitch had a big game?

Wanna know where I was... the mall. I'll never forgive myself for that.

He said he's 17. That means he was four that game.

I doubt he remembers it!

I can tell you this.

Super bowl XXVI.

Happened to be played the day I was scheduled to graduate from AU with a Master's degree.

I have no idea what happened at graduation, since I didn't go.

Priorities, My Man. Priorities.

I meant it as more of a general question and not just directed specifically towards him, though I'm sure he's at least seen some highlights from that game.

Matty,

Didn't mean it as a criticism. I went to that vikings game. Wasn't it the week following the "Too Legit to quit" Falcons playoff game?

My point was some guys were giving him advice like he had the dough to spend you have when you have a real job, and real worries (Like, will my wife look at my cell phone bill carefully?)

Giggity Giggity.
No, the next week the Skins lost to SF.

I'm talking about the 92-93 season when the Skins were coming off the SB win and they went 9-7 in the regular season.

I rember that game too. I was stuck in a van driving up to Mammoth Mountain. I remember we stoped at a Taco Bell on the way and there was a pizza parlor in the parking lot. I suddenly got the urge for a slice of pizza.Hoping that they had the Reskins game on I ran over there. They had the game on so I saw a little of it. But beeing that I am the only Redskins fan in my group of friends 15 min later they all came over from Taco Hell and told me if I didn't get my ass in the van I would be watching football there all weekend. So rather then miss my ride up the mountain I reluctantly left. Man was that a long trip.
What really sucked was we watched football between skiing the rest of the weekend. Figures the Redskins just had to be the frist game on that weekend. :frusty:
That was the same weekend that Frank (Wrike?) brought the Bills back over Houston. We went skiing at half time because we thought that the game was over. I almost sh-t when I got back to the cabin and saw the score.
That Vikings game was also Gibbs last playoff win. We lost to the 49ers in the mud at the stick the very next weekend. Gibbs retierd after that season. It was all down hill from there. That was before this year of course.

Dude you're 17. You'll be dumping her within 6 months anyways. Game takes precedence. The only time devoted fan misses a game when the skins are in sole possesion of first place is in family emergency times. If you're still dating her when your 26 and this is an issue then you have bigger problems. A good woman will understand as long as you make an attempt to do right. Take her to brunch and ask her to chill with you to watch the game and then you can go to dinner. That's two meals and quality time spent chilling together. If that doesn't get it done then it's "don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya" time.

Very true.

Chances are somebody that you're dating when you're 17 isn't the woman you're going to marry.

Watch the game.

There's plenty of girls out there, and some of them will actually watch football with you!

But there's only one Washington Redskins.

I would like to expand on this quote.

Not only is this true, but even when you do get married your dick eventually falls off. In my house, I take my wife and daughter shopping all the time and daddy can't even get the "big piece of chicken" (Chris Rock quote) in return, in other words no apprectiation.

So for now while your young and kickin' and a man about - take charge and watch the Skins clean up Seattle. period.

Re: I'm facing a dilemma (sp)

I have had the same problem before...At the time I said to the chick "While you’re very dear to me don't make this a choice between you and watching the Redskins. Let me watch the game and I'll do anything you want before the game, after the game and when there is no game on TV." She agreed and that was that. The moral of the story is that you have to make a stand now...and that the Redskins come first unless chick is on her death bed!
